Setting The Benchmark For Military Technology
The aim of this conference is to build opportunities to promote information and communication related developments between the defence community – government and industry – local and international – where ideas, strategies, requirements and potential solutions can be shared and discussed.
As a keynote speaker at the event, Andrew Condon, national sales manager at ARH invited the key decision makers and stakeholders to “come and have a look at ARH’s offerings”
“In DOD terms, we are the best kept secret out there,” says Condon. ARH and holding company Altron offer security solutions as a key pillar of expertise. “We see ourselves as being the partner of choice going forward for DOD.”
ARH, together with their partners have numerous working solutions that showcase their vast expertise in this field;
- In collaboration with Motorola the company has deployed significant applications in the SAPS.
- Together with Huawei they have rolled out various broadband projects in Gauteng, Tshwane and Limpopo.
- Successful deployment of Hytera technology in the SA Navy, to replace old FDMA technology
- Security capabilities offered by Nokia’ LTE networks
Key issues that were highlighted at the conference were topics like mobility and the solutions such as LTE or Tetra DMR environments. Other issues such as control and command and the software for computer aided dispatch that address this were technology solutions that stakeholders were excited about. Another hot topic was security of information.
ARH are able to partner extremely well to offer solutions in this area. They have the ability to handle large scale infrastructure deployment and have a strong track record.
